Dallas Love Field Airport

Medellín was commissioned to create windows in 1960 for the Trinity Lutheran Church in Dallas. One of these was a campanile screen—a window for a belltower. It was composed of four large segments, each containing a dense array of vibrantly colored glass panes. The church was demolished in 2013, but fortunately a portion of Medellín’s windows was salvaged and donated to Dallas’s Office of Cultural Affairs. The campanile screen was disassembled and reframed for display in front of a long bank of windows at Dallas’s Love Field Airport. Visit Moody Performance Hall to see a set of windows created by Medellín and salvaged from Trinity Lutheran Church.
